BESIX Group is seeking a Senior Cost Controller to strengthen our Finance team for Belgium & Luxembourg. You will ensure accurate project reporting and provide financial expertise throughout the project lifecycle, mainly supporting Ghent-area projects with some Brussels-based work.

The role requires a Master's degree in Finance or related field and at least 5 years of cost control experience, with fluency in Dutch and English; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in cost control, project controlling, audit, finance, or a similar analytical role.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is considered a strong asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsabilités

• Manage and coordinate the monthly cost control and reporting process for your assigned projects.
• Analyse project performance, identify risks and opportunities, and challenge financial assumptions where necessary.
• Review and validate project cost control data in collaboration with Project Managers and operational teams.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial information and reports.
• Support Project Managers by providing timely financial insights and performance analyses.
• Act as a business partner for project teams and ensure that all relevant accounting and financial data are properly communicated.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and simplification of cost control processes and reporting tools.
• Prepare and present financial analyses and recommendations to the Cost Control Manager and other stakeholders.

Job Description

For our Business Unit Belgium & Luxembourg, we are looking for a Senior Cost Controller to strengthen our Finance team.

As a Senior Cost Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate project reporting, supporting project management teams, and providing financial expertise throughout the project lifecycle. You will mainly support projects located in the Ghent area (approximately 80%), combining office-based work at our Brussels headquarters (approximately 20%).

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Confident communicator capable of challenging and influencing stakeholders at different levels.
• Fluent in Dutch and English. French is considered a strong asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Affinity with project-based environments such as construction, engineering, or infrastructure is a plus.
