Gaming1 is seeking a Senior System Engineer to join the IT – Corporate & Retail team. The role is senior, hands-on, and focused on reliability, security, and evolution of core infrastructure supporting land-based and corporate functions.

You will be the technical owner for core infrastructure, ensure high availability, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cybersecurity teams on hardening and incident remediation.

• Strong focus on security, reliability and infrastructure evolution.
• Experience with Windows Server environments and IT administration.

As part of its sustained growth, Gaming1 is looking for a System Engineer to join its IT – Corporate & Retail team.

This is a senior, hands‑on technical role, designed for experienced system engineers who wish to deepen their expertise and play a key role in the reliability, security, and evolution of Gaming1’s core infrastructure. You will join a team responsible for delivering and maintaining robust IT services for both land‑based gaming establishments (casinos, gaming halls, betting shops) and corporate functions (Finance, HR, Legal, etc.).

Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, your main objective will be to ensure the availability, performance, and security of critical systems, while actively contributing to Gaming1’s cybersecurity transformation. You will act as a technical reference, work closely with cybersecurity teams, and mentor less‑experienced colleagues.

YOUR ROLE

As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for both day‑to‑day operations and long‑term infrastructure improvements:

• Act as technical owner for core infrastructure components across Windows (and to a lesser extent Linux) environments
• Ensure high availability, performance, and stability of servers and infrastructure services
• Manage the full lifecycle of systems: upgrades, replacements, hardening, and decommissioning
• Apply security best practices in collaboration with cybersecurity teams (hardening, monitoring, remediation)
• Administer Microsoft 365 and identity services (Entra ID, conditional access, RBAC, endpoint management)
• Provide 3rd‑level support and act as an escalation point for complex incidents
• Perform root cause analyses and implement long‑term corrective actions
• Automate recurring operational tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
• Contribute to infrastructure projects with operational and organizational impact
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to standards, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives

YOUR PROFILE

You are an experienced and autonomous System Engineer with a strong security mindset and a passion for modern infrastructure:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a System Engineer or senior infrastructure role
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• Strong expertise in Windows Server environments and system administration
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, Viva, Defender
• Good knowledge of endpoint management solutions (Intune required, Jamf is a plus)
• Solid understanding of infrastructure and security concepts (backup, monitoring, IDS/IPS, NIST/CIS frameworks)
• Ability to automate operational workflows using PowerShell (required); Bash is a plus
• Experience with VMware, Hyper‑V, or Nutanix environments is an asset
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, even under pressure
• Ability to mentor and support less‑experienced engineers
• Professional, structured, and proactive mindset
• English: minimum B2 level, written and spoke
