Job summary

Thales Belgium is seeking a System Engineer in Tubize to define systems and solutions with customers and architects. You will analyze requests, write functional and system requirements, and design practical solutions at a system level.

The role requires experience in architecture, cybersecurity/cryptography, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams including hardware, software, and project management. This is a hands-on engineering position with growth across domains.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or cryptographic sciences.
• First professional experience as Architect, System engineer, or designer.
• Experience in 3 of the following domains: security devices, critical communications, cryptography, risk analysis, threat modelling, MBSE/SysML.
• Fluent in French or Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze customer needs.
• Lead system specifications and design with technical and non-technical teams.
• Define system architecture at logical and physical levels with interfaces and maintainability in mind.
• Liaise with customers and main architects on technical aspects.
• Provide state-of-the-art expertise in cybersecurity and related domains.
• Support implementation and testing teams with technical input.
• Assist sales teams with internal and external pre-sales support.
