Mosa Ballet School in Liège seeks an education professional to supervise and support young dancers on weekends and nights. You will help students grow, ensure their safety, and foster autonomy and responsible living duringResidency.

Your role includes calm mediation, room and environment upkeep, and coordination with teams on health and safety matters. We value over 3 years of experience in education or youth work, fluency in English and French, and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

• Fluent in English and French.
• Good observation and listening skills.
• Positive approach to situations and mediation.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and support students during weekends and nights, ensuring safety and wellbeing.
• Promote autonomy and responsible living among students.
• Enforce school rules while encouraging collaboration and respectful conduct.
• Handle medical emergencies per procedures and accompany to hospital when needed.
• Monitor health issues and incidents, reporting to relevant teams.

The Function

As an education professional, you will listen to each pupil to help them grow, to enable them to gradually take ownership of school life, to find their place and to develop the necessary social and academic learning on the road to autonomy and responsibility.

Your work may be scheduled for weekends.

Under the supervision of the Head of Student Supervisors, your main tasks are as follows:

• Supervising and supporting students and young dancers during weekends, ensuring their physical and emotional safety and well-being and maintaining a calm, respectful and supportive living environment.
• Ensuring that the rules and framework of school life are respected, while encouraging students’ autonomy, responsibility and ability to live together, including through mediation and conflict management when needed.
• Contributing to the overall organization and quality of the students’ living environment, including ensuring that rooms and shared spaces are orderly, hygienic and ready to welcome students, while encouraging students to take responsibility for their environment.
• Managing emergency situations, particularly those relating to health and safety, in accordance with established procedures and protocols, including accompanying students to hospital when necessary.
• Monitoring and reporting any health issues, incidents, damage, technical problems or identified risks, and informing the relevant teams, emergency services or management as appropriate.
• Acting as a point of reference for a group of students, contributing to their day-to-day follow-up, support and evaluation, and participating where appropriate in educational, social or pedagogical activities.

This role is essential to the students’ well-being and sense of security, as the educator acts as a trusted and consistent point of contact whom students can turn to for support, guidance and assistance throughout their stay.

Must Have

• Availability for night, weekend and holiday work.
• Experience as an educator or youth worker for more than 3 years.
• Positive approach to situations and mediation.
• Sense of caring, collaboration and initiative.
• Good observation and listening skills.
• Strong personal, affective and emotional balance.
• Knowledge of the Office Suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluent in English and French.

Nice to Have

• First aid certificate.
• Other language skills.
• Experience in the world of teaching and boarding school.
