Job summary

NATO, Brussels, is seeking a Staff Support specialist for Cryptographic Modernization and Risks on-site. You will prepare draft documents, assess cryptography risks, and support risk management across NATO workflows. The role requires security clearance and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

The contractor will embed within CDT, reporting to the Section Head, and may travel for meetings. Teleworking is case-by-case and on-site work is mandatory.

Qualifications

• University degree in a computer/communication field with security focus.
• 5+ years in a related cryptography/cybersecurity domain.
• Strong written and spoken English in a large international setting.

Responsibilities

• Draft NATO cryptographic device approval and release documents.
• Assess risks from cryptographic modernization and advise staff officers.
• Support enterprise risk management with cryptographic insights.
• Organize meetings and maintain records, portals, and coordination.
• Prepare presentations and speaking notes for senior officials.
• Provide executive advisory on cryptographic stakeholder relationships.
• Staff cryptographic communities of interest and external engagement.
