Job summary

NATO HQ Brussels is seeking a Staff Support specialist in Cryptographic Modernization and Risks to support CYPCAP. The role involves drafting committee documents related to cryptographic device approvals, embedding them in NATO workflows, and tracking approvals.

You will identify risks from documentation and meetings, advise Staff Officers on actions, organize cryptography communities of interest meetings, manage portals, and staff meeting records.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer or Communication Science, Information Management, Information Security, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in post-related field.
• Knowledge of network security and cryptography; including quantum threat to cryptography.
• Experience with risk management applied to cryptographic/cyber security fields.
• Excellent written and spoken English (SLP 4343+).
• Proven communication and negotiation skills in a large international environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drafts of Committee documents related to cryptographic device approval and release processes.
• Provide expertise in cryptography in support of NATO initiatives.
• Support Enterprise Risk Management by incorporating cryptographic elements into risk analyses.
• Organize events and develop records of meetings.
• Prepare presentations and speaking notes for senior officials.
• Provide executive advice to Staff Officers on relations with NATO cryptographic stakeholders.
• Manage cryptographic communities of interest portals and support external engagement.
