EMW in Brussels is seeking a Staff Support specialist for Cryptographic Modernization and Risks to join the NATO Cyber Plans and Capabilities Section. The role involves drafting committees’ documents, risk assessments, and coordinating with NATO stakeholders on cryptographic initiatives.

The position is on-site at NATO HQ Brussels, with travel as required, and requires NATO SECRET clearance and excellent English communication in an international environment.

Competenze

• A university degree in Computer or Communication Science, Information Management, Information Security, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in the post-related field.
• Knowledge of network security, symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, including quantum threats.
• Experience with risk management as applied to cryptographic/cyber security, including artifacts, evaluation methodologies, risk mitigation and escalation.
• Experience with NATO-related cryptographic issues and policies is desirable.
• Excellent written and spoken English (SLP 4343+).
• Proven communication and negotiation skills in a large international environment.

Mansioni

• Draft documents related to NATO cryptographic device approval and release processes.
• Provide expertise in cryptography to support ongoing NATO and national initiatives.
• Support Enterprise Risk Management by integrating cryptographic elements into risk analyses.
• Manage organization of events and develop records of meetings.
• Prepare presentations, speeches and speaking notes for senior officials as directed.
• Provide executive advice to Staff Officers on relationships with NATO cryptographic stakeholders.
• Manage cryptographic communities of interest portals and support external engagement.
