Job summary

Amaris Consulting – Technology Engineer – Steam Applications in Wilrijk, Belgium. You will act as technical reference for steam-based energy systems, contributing to design, feasibility, sizing, and MATLAB-based simulations to support decisions.

The role requires 4–6 years in technology/thermal engineering, a degree in Mechanical or Energy Engineering, strong thermodynamics and HRSG experience, fluent English, and the ability to work hybrid with one remote day per week.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in technology engineering, thermal engineering, or related field.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and practical experience with HRSGs.
• Proficient in MATLAB and experienced in engineering simulation and modelling.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
• Willing to work in Wilrijk, Belgium, with one remote-working day per week.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical design reviews and assess the feasibility of steam application solutions.
• Perform engineering calculations and equipment sizing based on thermodynamic principles.
• Design, analyse, and optimise Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) and related steam systems.
• Develop and run simulations using MATLAB to evaluate system performance.
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations throughout engineering projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure feasibility, performance and reliability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and development of innovative steam technology solutions.
