Job summary

SEIDOR in Brussels seeks a Solution Architect to oversee the full lifecycle of digital solutions, from concept to retirement. You will lead cross-functional teams, elicit and translate requirements, and define roadmaps aligned with business goals, measuring outcomes and driving continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with PMs, DMs, SMs, and OM teams to ensure timely, on-budget delivery while maintaining architecture quality and governance.

• Oversee the definition, construction, and management of digital solutions.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and prioritise requirements, ensuring they are translated into actionable solution features and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and maintain a solution vision and roadmap aligned with business goals and portfolio objectives, defining measurable outcomes and metrics.
• Manage cross-functional teams in solution delivery.
• Ensure that solution delivery adheres to timelines, budget, and quality standards, using KPIs and outcome-based measures.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to assess solution options and inform investment decisions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for solutions, designs, decisions, and processes.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and support to teams and stakeholders, clarifying solution choices, resolving issues, and ensuring adherence to architecture and quality standards.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and vendor offerings to enhance scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.

Nature of the main tasks

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of digital solutions, from conceptualisation to retirement, employing continuous improvement practices.


• Oversee the definition, construction, and management of digital solutions.


• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and prioritise requirements, ensuring they are translated into actionable solution features and acceptance criteria.


• Develop and maintain a solution vision and roadmap aligned with business goals and portfolio objectives, defining measurable outcomes and metrics.


• Manage cross-functional teams in solution delivery. Work with Project Manager (PM)s (PMs), Delivery Managers (DMs), Service Managers (SMs), Operation Managers (OMs) and their respective teams; establish decision-making structures and governance cadences (e.g. sprint reviews, roadmap reviews).


• Ensure that solution delivery adheres to agreed timelines, budget, and quality standards, using both traditional KPIs (scope, cost, schedule) and outcome-based measures (adoption, satisfaction, cycle time).


• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to assess solution options, validate assumptions, and inform investment decisions.


• Maintain comprehensive documentation for solutions, designs, decisions, and
  processes, ensuring traceability, audit readiness, and knowledge transfer.


• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues throughout the solution lifecycle,
  maintaining a risk register and executing mitigation or contingency plans.


• Provide technical guidance and support to teams and stakeholders, clarifying solution choices, resolving issues, and ensuring adherence to architecture and quality standards.


• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, practices, and vendor offerings,
  recommending improvements to enhance scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness of solutions

Requirements

• 15 years of experience in using issue tracking tools (such as JIRA or equivalent) and collaboration tools (such as Confluence, SharePoint or equivalent) to support planning and delivery.


• 15 years of experience using change and release management practices to ensure
  smooth deployment and adoption of new digital solutions.


• 10 years of experience managing stakeholders and governance, ensuring effective
  communication, reporting and decision-making.


• 10 years of experience ensuring successful implementation and alignment with business requirements and agreed project objectives.


• 10 years of experience in overseeing the entire lifecycle of digital solutions, from
  conceptualisation to retirement, employing continuous improvement practices.


• 10 years of experience in cybersecurity principles and best practices.


• 5 years of experience using integration technologies and APIs.


• 10 years of experience evaluating trade-offs and making timely decisions.


• 10 years of experience in defining solution strategies and roadmaps.


• 10 years of experience in producing structured technical documentation, reports,
  specifications and presentations.

Certificates and/or Standards:

One of the following or an equivalent certification:

• SAFe Product Owner and / or Product Manager


• Scrum Product Owner and / or Product Manager


• AIPMM Certified Product Manager


• Pragmatic Institute PMC.

Nice to have:

• 3 years of experience of EU rules on data protection.


• 3 years of experience using case management systems or similar, i.e. systems managing documents and / or files with workflow, business rules, database management and backoffice functionality for querying, analysis or reporting.


• 1 year of experience with Artificial Intelligence concepts
