Guardsquare is seeking Software Engineering Team Leads for our Leuven office to lead one of our Leuven-based C++/LLVM or Java R&D teams. You will manage a team of 5–7 engineers in an agile environment and help translate business needs into technical specifications.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in CS with 5+ years of experience, including 3+ years as a team lead, and strong Java or C++ knowledge. Hybrid leadership and strong delivery focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science with 5+ years of experience, including 3+ years as a Team Lead.
• Proven track record of achieving results with teams.
• Experience setting performance goals and conducting appraisals.
• Deep knowledge of Java or C++ is a plus.
• Good understanding of software engineering in high-tech environments.

Responsabilités

• Own the results delivered by your team and lead day-to-day development.
• Mentor engineers, foster collaboration, and motivate the team.
• Set coding standards and best practices for maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate business needs into technical specs.
• Implement and enforce testing practices for reliable software.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes.
