ThoughtLabs Belgium is seeking an experienced SAM/IT Asset Management professional to oversee the complete lifecycle of software licenses and maintain a reliable asset database. You will collaborate with Purchasing, IT and Finance to analyze contracts, usage data, and licensing models.

The role requires strong analytical thinking, autonomy, and proactive ownership, with proficiency in Excel, SQL and Power BI and fluency in either French or Dutch with English working knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in SAM or related IT procurement/IT Asset Management.
• Strong knowledge of licensing models and ITAM practices.
• Proficient with Excel, SQL and Power BI for analyses.

Responsabilités

• Manage the complete lifecycle of IT licenses: request, approval, acquisition, deployment, monitoring, renewal.
• Maintain an accurate, up-to-date database of licenses (active, expired, renewable).
• Analyze contracts and terms of use in collaboration with Purchasing, IT and Finance teams.
• Analyze usage data to identify unused or oversized software and propose optimizations.
• Set up and monitor KPIs: active licenses, renewals, non-compliance risks, savings.
• Prepare analyses, reports and dashboards for management decisions.

Requirements :

• Manage the complete lifecycle of IT licenses: request, approval, acquisition, deployment, monitoring, renewal.
• Maintain an accurate, reliable and up-to-date database of active, expired, renewable or to be withdrawn licenses.
• Analyze contracts, terms of use and license clauses, in collaboration with the Purchasing, IT and Finance teams.
• Analyze usage data to identify unused, underused, or oversized software and propose optimizations.
• Set up and monitor performance indicators: active licenses, unused licenses, upcoming renewals, non-compliance risks and potential savings.
• Prepare analyses, reports and dashboards to facilitate decision-making by management.
• Possess a good knowledge of the licensing models of major publishers, SAM/ITAM solutions and analytical tools such as advanced Excel, SQL and/or Power BI.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a role related to Software Asset Management, license management, IT procurement, IT Asset Management or a similar role.
• Demonstrate administrative rigor, analytical thinking, Autonomy, proactivity, ownership and good communication skills.
• Languages: French or Dutch with a working knowledge of English.
