Alstom is seeking a Software Designer to lead integration and validation of software modules across host PCs and hardware platforms, bridging development and system validation inside the V-cycle. Based in Charleroi with remote work 2 days per week.

You will master platform configuration, release management, and performance measurement, collaborating with software teams, validators, and cybersecurity specialists to deliver reliable, secure software releases for mobility solutions.

Qualifications

• Configuration management with GitLab is mandatory.
• Proficient in Python, Lua, Bash scripting for automated tests.
• Strong knowledge of C, C++, ADA and Linux environments.
• Experience with virtualization tools such as VirtualBox and Docker.

Responsabilités

• Software Integration & Validation across host PCs and hardware platforms.
• Develop platform understanding including peripherals and configuration.
• Release management: create target executables and documentation.
• Performance measurement and automation of tests for embedded resources and hardware usage.
• Maintenance: merge new functionalities and support developers.
