Job summary

FUSIT is seeking a Software Architect (Platform & AI) to join an Azure-based AI platform project. You will shape backend architecture and design reusable platform components while mentoring a hands-on development team.

You bring 4+ years in software engineering, strong .NET and Python skills, Azure experience, and a mindset for scalable solutions aligned with the EU AI Act. Fluent English is required; Dutch is a plus, and Belgium-based in-office presence ~2 days/week.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in software engineering or platform development.
• Strong backend skills in .NET and Python.
• Experience with Azure and preferably Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep).
• An architectural mindset: think beyond the individual application.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Based in Belgium with in-office presence ~2 days per week.

On behalf of our client, a leader in technological solutions, FUSIT is looking for a hands-on Software Architect / Senior Backend Developer for the internal ETS team.

About the role

You will join a specialized team building a new platform within Azure for AI automations. This platform serves as the technical foundation for a growing portfolio of Insights solutions. You will combine deep backend development (.NET/Python) with designing reusable platform components.

Your responsibilities

• Design and build backend components in NET. En Python scripting
• Translate architectural concepts into concrete, working technical solutions.
• Develop PoCs to validate new technologies and approaches.
• Implement Cloud solutions using Azure and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Shape platform capabilities that comply with the new EU AI Act.

Your profile

• At least 4 years of experience in software engineering or platform development.
• Strong backend skills in .NET and Python.
• Experience with Azure and preferably Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep).
• An architectural mindset: you think beyond the individual application.
• Fluent in English (international team), Dutch is a plus.
• Living in Belgium with a willingness to work in the office approx. 2 days per week.
