Job summary

FUSIT is seeking a Software Architect (Platform & AI) to join an Azure-based AI platform project. You will shape backend architecture and design reusable platform components while mentoring a hands-on development team.

You bring 4+ years in software engineering, strong .NET and Python skills, Azure experience, and a mindset for scalable solutions aligned with the EU AI Act. Fluent English is required; Dutch is a plus, and Belgium-based in-office presence ~2 days/week.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in software engineering or platform development.
• Strong backend skills in .NET and Python.
• Experience with Azure and preferably Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep).
• An architectural mindset: think beyond the individual application.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Based in Belgium with in-office presence ~2 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend components in .NET and Python.
• Translate architectural concepts into concrete technical solutions.
• Develop PoCs to validate new technologies and approaches.
• Implement Cloud solutions using Azure and IaC.
• Shape platform capabilities that align with the EU AI Act.
