Job summary

FUSIT is recruiting for a hands-on Software Architect / Senior Backend Developer for the ETS team in Belgium. You’ll move beyond coding to shape the architectural direction of an innovative AI platform.

You design and build backend components in .NET and Python, implement Azure-based solutions with IaC (Terraform/Bicep), and develop PoCs. You’ll help ensure platform capabilities comply with the EU AI Act, with a permanent, high-autonomy role and a hybrid work setup (approx. 2 days in office).

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of software engineering or platform development experience.
• Strong backend skills in .NET and Python.
• Experience with Azure and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep).
• Architectural mindset with ability to shape platform capabilities and comply with EU AI Act.

On behalf of our client, a leader in technological solutions, FUSIT is looking for a hands-on Software Architect / Senior Backend Developer for the internal ETS team.

About the role

• Design and build backend components in NET. En Python scripting
• Translate architectural concepts into concrete, working technical solutions.
• Develop PoCs to validate new technologies and approaches.
• Implement Cloud solutions using Azure and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Shape platform capabilities that comply with the new EU AI Act.
• At least 4 years of experience in software engineering or platform development.
• Strong backend skills in .NET and Python.
• Experience with Azure and preferably Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep).
• An architectural mindset: you think beyond the individual application.
• Fluent in English (international team), Dutch is a plus.
• Living in Belgium with a willingness to work in the office approx. 2 days per week.
