Job summary

Itineris in Belgium seeks a hands-on Software Architect or Senior Software Engineer to grow into an architecture role, operating at the intersection of software engineering, platform development and solution architecture with a strong focus on backend development.

You will design and build backend components in Python/.NET, shape the Azure-based platform and translate architectural concepts into concrete, reusable solutions while creating PoCs and ensuring scalable deployments.

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience.
Backend development with Python/.NET.
Experience shaping architecture, scalability and reusability.
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure platform services.
Experience with cloud deployments and Infrastructure as Code.
Ability to develop and validate technical concepts via proofs of concept.
Ability to take technical ownership and guide other engineers.
Strong English communication skills.
Based in Belgium with regular office presence preferred.

Responsibilities

Design and build backend components in Python/.NET.
Shape the software architecture of the Insights and AI platform.
Translate architectural concepts into concrete, working solutions.
Develop reusable platform components for multiple Insights solutions.
Create and validate proofs of concept to test approaches.
Build technical components and lightweight adapters as needed.
Design and implement cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure.
Work with Infrastructure as Code to enable repeatable deployments.
Prepare mature solutions for handover to the Azure Engineering Team for production." ,
