Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Site Manager for Synchronous Condenser projects, based on Belgian construction sites with coordination to Bruges engineering teams. You will lead construction and commissioning activities, ensuring safe, high-quality, on-time execution.

You will work with international teams, manage subcontractors, and uphold HSE standards while developing internal expertise in SynCon technology.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical/Industrial Engineering or Construction Management.
• Experience in construction management on complex industrial projects, ideally within the energy sector, HV substations, or power generation facilities.
• Strong understanding of high-voltage equipment and critical electrical environments.
• Ability to work independently in an international and multicultural environment.
• Fluent English to collaborate with German teams and international partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate on-site construction activities for large-scale projects.
• Plan and manage site resources, including personnel, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Act as the primary on-site point of contact, ensuring effective communication with engineering teams and all project stakeholders.
• Ensure rigorous compliance with HSE standards, quality, and project technical specifications.
• Oversee site inspections, construction progress, and the resolution of technical and logistical challenges.
• Contribute to lessons learned initiatives and help develop internal expertise in synchronous condenser technology.
