Engibex, a Belgian engineering consulting firm, seeks a talented engineer to join a world-leading R&D centre in nanoelectronics and digital technologies in Belgium. You will develop 2D/3D COMSOL models, implement temperature-dependent properties, and contribute to design decisions with simulation insights for next-generation samples.

The role involves exploring AI-driven modelling workflows within a highly multidisciplinary team, combining engineering rigor with innovative approaches.

Formación

• Master degree in engineering with a focus on physics, mechanical or electrical.
• Experience in multiphysics modeling and simulation.
• Knowledge of microfabrication processes and device physics.

Our client is a world-leading research and innovation centre in nanoelectronics and digital technologies, based in Belgium. Its teams of engineers and scientists work with industry partners, universities and start-ups worldwide to develop the semiconductor and system technologies of tomorrow, from early-stage concepts to industrial prototypes. Within this highly multidisciplinary R&D environment, you will contribute to the development of next-generation devices and processes.

The assignment:

• Develop 2D and 3D COMSOL multiphysics models.
• Implement temperature-dependent material properties and physics-based thermal models to accurately predict device performance.
• Contribute to design decisions and technology development by providing simulation-based insights for next-generation sample preparation.
• Explore AI driven modelling workflows.

Profil recherché :

• At least a Master degree (Phd is preferred) in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, or physics). An Engineering degree is more desirable then a pure scientific one.
• Multiphysics modeling and simulation (COMSOL or equivalent).
• Thermal, electro-thermal, and MEMS device design expertise.
• Experimental validation, data analysis, and model correlation.
• Understanding of microfabrication processes and device physics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary R&D teams.
