Job summary

VeroTech BV is seeking a Multiphysics Simulation Engineer to advance R&D through accurate 2D and 3D simulations of device behavior. You will develop COMSOL models combining material properties, thermal effects and device physics to guide decisions.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, connect simulations with experimental data, and explore AI-driven workflows to improve efficiency and predictive value in multiple industries.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• Experience with multiphysics modelling and simulation using COMSOL or equivalent.
• Expertise in thermal, electro-thermal and MEMS device design.
• Experience with experimental validation, data analysis and model correlation.

Responsibilities

• Develop 2D and 3D COMSOL multiphysics models for advanced device simulations.
• Implement temperature-dependent material properties and physics-based thermal models.
• Predict device performance using thermal, electro-thermal and MEMS simulation insights.

About the role

As a Multiphysics Simulation Engineer at VeroTech, you support advanced R&D activities through accurate 2D and 3D simulation of device behaviour. You develop COMSOL multiphysics models that combine material properties, thermal effects and device physics to guide technical decisions.

Your insights contribute to next-generation sample preparation technologies. You collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, connect simulations with experimental data and explore AI-driven modelling workflows to improve efficiency and predictive value.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 2D and 3D COMSOL multiphysics models for advanced device simulations

• Implement temperature-dependent material properties and physics-based thermal models

• Predict device performance using thermal, electro-thermal and MEMS simulation insights

• Support design decisions and technology development with simulation-based recommendations

What we're looking for

We are looking for an analytical engineer with strong multiphysics modelling expertise and a collaborative R&D mindset. You combine technical depth with practical validation skills and contribute effectively in multidisciplinary environments.

• Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably electrical, mechanical or physics engineering; a PhD is preferred

• Experience with multiphysics modelling and simulation using COMSOL or an equivalent tool

• Expertise in thermal, electro-thermal and MEMS device design

• Experience with experimental validation, data analysis and model correlation

• Understanding of microfabrication processes and device physics
