ITproposal in Brussels is seeking an experienced ServiceNow CSM Developer to advance a mature ServiceNow Enterprise Service Management platform, with a strong focus on the Customer Service Management module and an OOTB-first philosophy.

You will translate business requirements into scalable configurations, build workflows, catalog items and record producers, and develop integrations using REST/SOAP and IntegrationHub, while collaborating in an Agile environment and documenting designs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow implementation and configuration.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow CSM.
• Strong understanding of CSM functionality and data model.
• Proven ServiceNow scripting knowledge including JavaScript, GlideScript, and related core components.
• Experience with Flow Designer and UI Builder; REST/SOAP integrations.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow CSM Developer to join a team responsible for the further development of a mature ServiceNow Enterprise Service Management (ESM) platform.

The focus is on the Customer Service Management (CSM) module, translating business requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions while following an OOTB-first approach and minimising customisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement ServiceNow CSM solutions based on business requirements.
• Translate functional requirements into practical CSM configurations and developments.
• Configure:
  • Cases and case types
  • Workflows
  • Catalog items
  • Record producers
• Maximise the use of out-of-the-box (OOTB) functionality and ServiceNow best practices.
• Critically assess customisation requirements and minimise unnecessary custom development.
• Configure and develop:
  • Business Rules
  • Client Scripts
  • Script Includes
  • UI Policies
  • ACLs
  • Notifications
  • SLA/OLA configurations
• Develop targeted extensions using JavaScript / GlideScript where standard functionality is insufficient.
• Work with Flow Designer and/or UI Builder.
• Configure Customer/Consumer Service Portals.
• Build and support integrations with external systems using:
  • REST
  • SOAP
  • IntegrationHub
• Perform unit testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Manage update sets and contribute to controlled release processes.
• Troubleshoot production issues and help maintain platform stability.
• Prepare technical documentation and solution designs.
• Document decisions regarding OOTB versus customisation.
• Share knowledge and contribute to the development of the internal ServiceNow team.

Required Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow implementation and configuration.
• Proven hands-on experience with ServiceNow CSM.
• Strong understanding of the CSM standard functionality and data model.
• Strong ServiceNow configuration skills.
• OOTB-first and best-practice-driven approach.
• Strong scripting knowledge, including:
  • JavaScript
  • GlideScript
  • Business Rules
  • Client Scripts
  • Script Includes
  • ACLs
• Experience with Flow Designer and/or UI Builder.
• Experience with REST/SOAP/IntegrationHub integrations.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and make pragmatic decisions regarding customisation.

Nice to Have

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• CIS-CSM certification
• Experience with ITSM and HRSD
• Experience with Virtual Agent, Employee Center or Service Portal
• Previous experience within the federal government is a strong advantage.

Languages

Candidates should have a good command of Dutch or French, with the other language at least at a very good level.
