Mackay Marine in Antwerp, Belgium seeks a full-time Service Coordinator with marine industry experience to respond to inquiries, coordinate service needs, and dispatch qualified technicians. You will provide accurate administrative support and ensure timely completion of service tasks for our vessels and customers.

The role requires proficiency in English and Dutch, strong communication skills, and experience with ERP systems. Travel and weekend rotations may be involved depending on location.

Responsabilités

• Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries, requests for quotes, and promoting Mackay’s services.
• Keep all parties informed of job progress, problems, completion, and resolutions.
• Deliver a positive complete service experience on every job.
• Analyse service requests and assign the most suitable technician.
• Generate service call IDs and coordinate service and logistics to maintain workflow continuity.
• Coordinate with vessel agents to confirm schedules and gate access for technicians.
• Interface with inventory to ensure parts are ordered, available, and staged for serviced products.
• Weekend call rotation depending on location.

Mackay Marine is a global marine electronics service and communications company with 500 employees in twenty-two (22) countries, including the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa. For over fifty (50) years, Mackay has sold, installed, and serviced electronic navigation and communication equipment onboard commercial and naval ships.

Mackay is currently seeking a fulltime Service Coordinator, with experience in the marine industry and with the skills and qualifications outlined below for our Antwerp, BE location. Proficiency in English is required. Mackay offers an attractive salary based on experience.

Service Coordinator Job Summary:

The Service Coordinator exhibits a strong commitment to customer service by quickly responding to customer inquiries, communicating job progress, resolving issues, and ensuring that the daily service requirements are met in a timely manner. The Service Coordinator is adept at properly analyzing the job request, the parts/equipment needed and dispatches the technician who has the knowledge of services required to fix it right the first time. The Service Coordinator provides technicians with reliable and accurate administrative support.

Responsibilities:

• Provides excellent customer service by responding quickly to any inquiries, requests for quotes, and promotes Mackay’s services.
• Always keeps all parties apprised of job progress, problems encountered, job completion, and resolving any issues.
• Presents customers with a “positive complete service experience” on every job.
• Proficient in the use of ERP systems.
• Properly analyzes job request; consistently assigns the most suitable technician to do the job.
• Generates service call ID’s, coordinates service, posts on job board, and internal logistics to maintain continuity of all work being performed.
• Liaise with vessel agents to check on vessel schedules and confirm that technicians are on the gate access list. Makes sure that technicians are well informed of vessel schedules and any changes.
• Interfaces with inventory to ensure parts are ordered, available, and staged to properly support products serviced.
• Weekend call rotation dependent upon location.

Service Coordinator Qualifications:

• Must be proficient in English and Dutch.
• Some university coursework preferred or equivalent training and experience.
• 3+ Years’ experience in service coordination in the Marine industry.
• Exceptional client service mentality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills – in English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Valid Driver’s License
• Reliable Transportation
