Mackay Marine in Antwerp is seeking an experienced Marine Service Engineer to install, service and repair electronic equipment on board commercial ships. Under limited supervision you will work with RF, radar, and navigation systems.
Your duties include testing, adjusting, and troubleshooting electronics, drafting detailed service reports, and updating software as needed. Fluency in English and a valid passport are required, with previous FCC Radar endorsement and GMDSS preferred.

Mackay is currently seeking an experienced Marine Service Engineer, with the skills and qualifications below, and who is proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English for our Antwerp, Belgium location.
Under limited supervision, Marine Service Engineers (aka Marine Service Technician) install, service, and repair electronic equipment on board commercial ships. They test, adjust, and troubleshoot electronic components, PCBs, sub-assemblies, and antennas as well as load, update, and modify software. Marine Service Engineers use their knowledge of radio frequencies (RF), electronic theory and circuitry to address a variety of technical problems and make intelligent use of complex schematics, blueprints, and manuals to accurately achieve assignments and compose a detailed service report.
