Job summary

Elia Group is seeking a Splunk and Linux System Engineer to join our IT operations team. You will support Linux-based infrastructure and the Splunk platform, handling incidents, maintenance, and platform changes with a security- and compliance-focused mindset.

The role involves data onboarding, forwarder configuration, dashboards, alerts, and root cause analysis, plus automation through scripting and IaC to improve reliability. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of IT operations experience with Linux-based infrastructure.
Hands-on Splunk administration in production environments (2+ years).
Experience with enterprise tooling and automation (Ansible, IaC).
Strong scripting skills in Bash and/or Python; automation-focused.

Responsibilities

Support Linux-based IT infrastructure and the Splunk platform.
Resolve incidents and service requests with minimal disruption.
Design, implement, and improve Splunk solutions (data onboarding, dashboards, alerts).
Drive automation and IaC to standardise configurations and increase reliability.
Participate in problem management and root-cause analyses using Splunk data.
