Job summary

Editx is seeking a System Engineer – Linux & Splunk to design, implement and maintain enterprise Linux infrastructure and the Splunk platform in a large-scale IT environment. You will blend Linux engineering with Splunk administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation to ensure reliability, security, and performance of critical services.

The role emphasizes incident response, RCA, automation, IaC, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize data ingestion and platform

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux enterprise environments and incident management.
• Strong monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities with Splunk.
• Automation experience using Ansible, Bash and/or Python.

Responsibilities

• Linux infrastructure management across physical, virtualised and containerised environments.
• Configure and maintain Splunk environments, data onboarding, dashboards and alerts.
• Investigate and resolve incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Monitor platform health and improve data ingestion and performance.
• Develop automation within CI/CD pipelines and IaC practices.
• Manage lifecycle with Red Hat Satellite; support containers and VMware.
