Job summary

Corilus is seeking a Senior Software Engineer Java / Spring Boot to join a healthcare-focused team in Belgium. You will develop and maintain Java-based microservices, design robust REST APIs, and work with Kafka to enable scalable event-driven architectures.

You will collaborate with product owners, analysts, and engineers to deliver high-quality software that improves care delivery. The role offers hybrid work from Diegem and a competitive package aligned with experience.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot 3.x.
• REST APIs, microservices, Maven multi-module projects, and Apache Kafka.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tooling.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, automated testing, CI/CD, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Nice to have: OPA/OPAL, ArgoCD, OAuth2/OIDC, IAM and multi-tenancy.
• Nice to have: MariaDB, SQL, Flyway migrations.
• Healthcare integrations (HL7/FHIR) is a plus.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer Java / Spring Boot, you play a key role in a complex, challenging, and people-focused environment. You contribute to the development of impactful solutions used by healthcare professionals, working alongside product owners, analysts, and fellow engineers. You take ownership of your work, actively contribute to technical discussions, and help shape scalable, secure, and reliable systems.

• Strong plus: experience with healthcare integrations, such as eHealth, RIZIV, and HL7/FHIR.


• Ability to translate functional requirements into clear technical solutions.


• Comfortable communicating in English (French is a plus).


• Willingness to share knowledge and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.
