Asenium Consulting is seeking a Senior SCADA Software Engineer to join our development team responsible for a business-critical SCADA platform operating 24/7 across Belgium, France, Germany, and the Netherlands.

The role focuses on building a highly available system using Hitachi Energy MicroSCADA X SYS600, applying robust software engineering practices, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. You will work in an Agile/SAFe environment and participate in on-call rotations after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, electromechanics, or related discipline.
• At least three years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong software-engineering foundations including architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with version control and CI/CD practices.
• Industrial mindset and experience developing stable, resilient, or business-critical applications.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain a highly available SCADA platform based on Hitachi Energy MicroSCADA X SYS600.
• Design scalable, robust, and resilient software solutions.
• Apply software architecture, design patterns, and craftsmanship principles (SOLID, DRY, KISS, YAGNI).
• Write clean, maintainable code for a business-critical industrial environment.
• Investigate production incidents and deliver sustainable corrective solutions.
• Contribute to version-control and CI/CD practices using GitHub.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, architects, dispatchers, business reps, and technical teams.
• Work within an Agile/SAFe environment.
• Improve the technical environment and development practices.
• Participate in on-call support rotation after onboarding to ensure system availability.
