EngiFlex BV in Belgium seeks an experienced SCADA Application Designer-Developer for AVEVA System Platform (freelance optional). You will join a development team supporting a 24/7 energy portfolio across Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands, designing real-time SCADA solutions.

The role involves implementing AVEVA System Platform/OMI architecture, ArchestrA modelling, ASP scripting, and AVEVA Expert Engineer work to ensure reliable performance and continuous grid stability.

Qualifications

• Experience with AVEVA System Platform and OMI.
• Knowledge of ArchestrA object modelling.
• Experience with ASP scripting.
• Hands-on AVEVA Expert Engineer expertise.

Responsabilités

• Support the real-time control of production assets, including renewable and flexible assets.
• Deliver integrated automation solutions for Remote Dispatching Centers.
• Translate operational requirements into AVEVA SCADA solutions aligned with architecture.
• Integrate new flexible assets such as renewable power plants and BESS.
• Adapt systems to evolving energy market mechanisms.
• Enable automation of decision-making processes for ancillary services.
• Develop, test and maintain AVEVA System Platform applications.
• Troubleshoot applications for 24/7 reliability.

Tasks and responsibilities

Join a development team working on a business-critical SCADA environment that operates 24/7 to support the real-time balance of a power portfolio across Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands.

You will contribute to a broader program focused on implementing a new SCADA platform based on AVEVA System Platform / OMI for the real-time steering of industrial assets. In this role, you design solutions that facilitate real-time decision-making and interaction with Power Dispatch, Energy Management and Transmission System Operators (TSOs), helping to balance production and consumption continuously while supporting grid stability.

• Support the real-time control of production assets, including renewable and flexible assets.
• Deliver integrated automation solutions for Remote Dispatching Centers.
• Translate operational requirements into SCADA solutions aligned with a group-wide harmonization program and its target AVEVA System Platform / OMI architecture.
• Integrate new flexible assets such as renewable power plants and Battery Energy Storage Systems.
• Adapt systems continuously to evolving energy market mechanisms.
• Enable the automation of decision-making processes that support ancillary services delivery.
• Develop, test and maintain applications based on AVEVA System Platform.
• Troubleshoot applications and contribute to reliable system performance in a 24/7 operational context.
• Experience with application troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of ArchestrA Object Modelling.
• Experience with ASP Scripting.
• Hands-on expertise with AVEVA Expert Engineer.
• Ability to develop, test and maintain applications based on AVEVA System Platform.
