HumanInTech in Brussels is seeking a skilled SCADA software engineer to join a development team responsible for a business-critical system that balances a major energy perimeter across Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands. You will work in a full-stack capacity on front-end and back-end, using SCIL, HTML5, CSS and TypeScript, with a focus on robust, scalable design.

The role requires a master’s degree in IT or electrical engineering and 3+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in IT and/or electrical engineering (e.g. civil engineer, industrial engineer in software, electronics or electromechanics)
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• Strong software engineering expertise with good architecture and design patterns
• Understanding of electricity production and grid transport basics
• Ability to work in high-responsibility, 24/7 environments

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain the SCADA system used to balance the power perimeter across Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands
• Work on front-end and back-end development using SCIL, HTML5, CSS and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Apply architectural design principles for scalable, robust solutions
• Follow software craftsmanship principles (SOLID, DRY, KISS, YAGNI) for clean, maintainable code
• Collaborate in an Agile/SAFe environment with analysts, dispatchers and technical teams
• Contribute to on-call support after onboarding to ensure system availability and grid stability
