Qualifications

• 10+ years backend development with SAP ABAP.
• 8+ years OO ABAP and extensions like User-Exit, BAdI, Enhancement Spot.
• 8+ years in interface development using IDoc/ALE, BAPI/RFC, SOAP Web Services, and OData.
• 5+ years with SAP ABAP Workbench, Eclipse/ADT, and ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC).
• 3+ years as SAP IS-U developer in utilities.
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA development environments.
• Knowledge of BOR and data migration via LSMW or EMIGALL.
• Knowledge of CDS Views and multiple IS-U domains (Device Management, Billing, Energy Data Management).

Responsibilities

Our client, a prominent organization in the utilities sector, is looking for a Senior SAP Backend Developer to join their technical team. This role involves designing and implementing complex technical solutions within an S/4HANA environment while ensuring high-quality, modular code development.

• Propose technical solutions and provide workload estimates based on functional specifications and analyst discussions.
• Draft technical specifications and ensure compliance with existing technical architecture and governance rules.
• Develop modular and reusable code using Object-Oriented ABAP and SAP standard extensions.
• Execute comprehensive unit tests, including performance testing, query optimization, and mass processing tests.
• Analyze and resolve defects identified during test campaigns or production incidents in consultation with functional analysts.
• Mentor junior developers and assist in defining and improving development frameworks and standards.

• 10+ years backend development experience with SAP ABAP.
• 8+ years with Object-Oriented ABAP (OO) and standard extensions like User-Exit, BAdI, and Enhancement Spot.
• 8+ years in interface development using IDoc/ALE, BAPI/RFC, SOAP Web Services, and OData.

• You are fluent in English.

Nice to Haves

• Master's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related scientific field.
• Experience with SAP Fiori, Web Dynpro, Adobe Forms, and BRF+.
• Knowledge of SAP CRM, BOPF, Floorplan Manager (FPM), or SAP BPEM/EMMA.
• Familiarity with supporting tools like Jira, SAP Solution Manager, and SOAP UI.
• You are fluent in French or Dutch.
