Job summary

Pauwels Consulting in Brussels is seeking an SAP technical services lead focused on stability, availability, and security of SAP landscapes, with emphasis on RISE environments and hybrid cloud architectures. The role centers on technical coordination between internal teams and partners to ensure high-performance systems.

You will manage SAP S/4HANA and HANA databases, oversee ECC/CRM/Solution Manager lifecycle, and drive technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on SAP Basis and technical services across Linux and Windows.
• 4+ years with SAP S/4HANA and HANA databases.
• Experience with SAP RISE/PCE, SAP ECS, and SAP Fiori including patches and refreshes.
• 2+ years SAP BTP platform management across global accounts and connectivity.
• Leadership coordinating distributed/offshore operations.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical alignment between internal teams, external providers, and partners for SAP RISE and S/4HANA.
• Manage stability, integrity, and security of SAP landscapes (PCE, SAP BTP).
• Oversee operational support and lifecycle management for ECC, CRM, and Solution Manager.
• Coordinate with offshore partners for structured incident management and tasks.

Our client, a major organization in the transportation and logistics sector, is seeking an expert to join their technical services team. The role focuses on ensuring the stability, availability, and security of SAP landscapes, with a primary emphasis on RISE environments and hybrid cloud architectures. Technical coordination between internal teams and external partners is central to maintaining high-performance system landscapes.

• Drive technical alignment between internal teams, external service providers, and partners for SAP RISE and S/4HANA environments.
• Manage the stability, integrity, and security of complex SAP landscapes, including Private Cloud Edition (PCE) and SAP BTP.
• Oversee operational support and lifecycle management for existing platforms such as SAP ECC, CRM, and Solution Manager.
• Coordinate with offshore partners to ensure structured execution of technical tasks and incident management.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials for operational excellence.
• Provide expert advice on hybrid cloud architectures, including HA/DR strategies and network security concepts.

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis and technical services across Linux and Windows environments.
• 4+ years of specialized experience with SAP S/4HANA and HANA databases.
• Extensive experience with SAP RISE/PCE, SAP ECS, and SAP Fiori including patching and system refreshes.
• 2+ years of hands-on expertise in SAP BTP platform management, including global accounts, subaccounts, and connectivity.
• Proven knowledge of SAP BTP services such as Cloud Connector, Destination Service, and Integration Suite.
• Technical experience with SAP Datasphere, IAS/IPS, and connectivity agents like DP Agent or Production Connector.
• Demonstrated expertise in SAP Identity and Security, including SSO, SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and Principal Propagation.
• Working knowledge of hybrid architecture networking, including DNS, Firewalls, and Load Balancing.
• Strong technical leadership skills with experience coordinating distributed or offshore operations teams.
• You are fluent in Dutch or French (C1) with B2 level proficiency in the second national language and English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with SAP Work Zone, cTMS, or Document Management.
• Familiarity with SuccessFactors, Ariba, or Cloud ALM.
• Knowledge of SAP IBP or Digital Manufacturing solutions.
