In4Matic is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex IT and digital transformation initiatives. The role focuses on delivering strategic IT and data modernization, optimising business processes, and strengthening organisational capabilities.

You will co-operate with business and technology stakeholders to translate strategy into tangible results while ensuring structured, transparent delivery.

Function

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our client's team and drive complex digital transformation initiatives. In this long-term consulting assignment, you'll take ownership of strategic projects aimed at modernising IT and data environments, optimising business processes, and strengthening organisational capabilities. You'll work closely with business and technology stakeholders to turn strategic objectives into tangible results while ensuring projects are delivered with structure, transparency, and precision.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex IT and digital transformation projects from initiation through implementation and operational handover.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring control over scope, budgets, quality, resources, and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate collaboration between business teams, IT, data specialists, and external suppliers.
• Monitor risks, dependencies, resource constraints, and competing priorities, taking proactive measures to maintain progress.
• Anticipate delivery challenges, develop pragmatic solutions, and **escalate issues when necessary**.
• Work closely with operational management, PMO teams, business support functions, and governance bodies.
• Provide clear progress reporting and ensure compliance with established programme governance frameworks.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery methodologies and execution practices.
• Apply the agreed PMO standards, processes, and ways of working throughout the assignment.

Profile & Expertise

• At least 10 years of experience managing complex IT projects, with a proven track record of delivering multiple digital transformation initiatives through to deployment.
• Strong understanding of business and IT environments, including business process management, cloud technologies, and transformation programme delivery.
• Advanced expertise in IT project delivery, risk management, stakeholder management, and leadership within matrix organisations.
• Experience managing multiple projects in complex organisational structures, balancing competing priorities while maintaining a clear focus on results.
• High professional maturity, autonomy, and sound judgement, with the ability to take ownership while respecting governance structures and decision-making boundaries.
• A pragmatic, structured, and solution-oriented approach, combined with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle challenges and conflicts diplomatically.
• Confident leadership and the ability to influence stakeholders without relying on hierarchical authority.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience with Agile methodologies and ITIL is an advantage. PRINCE2 or PMI certification is considered a plus, as is previous experience in a public-sector environment.

Practical Information

This assignment requires an on-site presence in Brussels at least three days per week. Fluency in Dutch, English, and French is required.
