In4Matic is seeking an experienced ICT project leader to own the preparation, coordination, and delivery of large, complex initiatives within a mission-driven organization.

This temporary consulting assignment offers potential extension and requires strong technical affinity combined with advanced project management to drive outcomes and connect stakeholders across the organization. Fluency in Dutch and English is expected, with hybrid work and on-site presence on select days.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience leading development projects.
• 5+ years leading projects within larger programs or portfolios.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technical/engineering field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a PMO-, portfolio-, or program-driven environment is a strong advantage.
• Independent, structured, and result-oriented working style.

Responsabilités

• Lead multiple large projects end to end.
• Translate objectives into scope, milestones and execution plans.
• Apply project management methodologies pragmatically to drive results.
• Define and maintain plans with timing, budget, quality, resources, dependencies, and risks.
• Establish project governance with clear roles and escalation paths.

• Track progress with milestones and KPIs; propose corrective actions when needed.
• Document decisions, actions, responsibilities, and changes; ensure follow-up.

Function

Our client is looking for an experienced ICT project leader to take ownership of the preparation, coordination, and successful delivery of large, complex initiatives within a mission-driven organization. This is a temporary consulting opportunity with the possibility of extension, where you will combine strong technical affinity with advanced project management expertise to drive outcomes, create structure, and connect stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will oversee the full project lifecycle, from initial setup through execution, monitoring, adjustment, and final delivery. You will work closely with program management, project teams, business and technical experts, management, and other internal and external stakeholders.

• Lead multiple large and complex projects end to end.
• Translate strategic objectives into clear project scopes, deliverables, milestones, and execution plans.
• Apply professional project methodologies in a practical and results-oriented way.
• Define and maintain realistic plans while monitoring timing, budget, quality, resources, dependencies, and risks.
• Establish strong project governance, including clear roles, responsibilities, decision-making structures, and escalation paths.
• Coordinate closely with program management to ensure alignment with other initiatives.
• Identify risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies early and take action to keep them under control.
• Guide multidisciplinary teams and align technical, operational, and organizational interests.
• Prepare and facilitate steering committees and project meetings to support efficient decision-making.
• Provide transparent reporting on scope, planning, budget, quality, resources, risks, and dependencies.
• Track progress using milestones, KPIs, and deliverables, and propose corrective actions when needed.
• Ensure decisions, actions, responsibilities, and changes are properly documented and followed up.
• Build support for change and make sure decisions are translated into action and results.

Technical Skills

• Strong background in technical or engineering environments.
• Proven experience leading development or ICT-related projects in complex settings.
• Deep knowledge of recognized project management methodologies such as PRINCE2; certification is a strong asset.
• Knowledge of other frameworks such as PMBOK/PMP, Agile, Scrum, or SAFe is considered a plus.
• Ability to apply methodology pragmatically and share that expertise with others.
• Experience with budget management, risk management, and dependency management.
• Experience with CRM-related projects and change management is a plus.
• Experience with procurement processes is considered an asset.
• Familiarity with Office 365, solution architecture, and project-related IT contexts is beneficial.
