Senior Project Leader, Higher Education (Hybrid)

Job summary

HumanInTech is seeking a seasoned project leader to run initiatives in a higher education setting. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, ensure delivery on scope, budget, planning and quality, and remain purely managerial without taking on technical design or execution tasks.

The role is full-time, based on-site in Belgium with a hybrid setup and three fixed on-site days per week, starting mid-November 2026 and running through November 2028.

Qualifications

• Higher education degree (bachelor or master).
• 5+ years leading and guiding projects.
• 5+ years assembling multidisciplinary teams without taking on technical design.
• 5+ years steering on scope, budget, planning and quality.
• Experience with steering committee reporting, escalation and decisions.
• Experience with project management terminology, organisation, roles and processes.
• At least 1 year of demonstrable experience in the academic or public sector.
• Fluent Dutch at CEFR level C2.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide projects from start to finish.
• Assemble and manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Steer integrally on scope, budget, planning and quality.
• Manage steering committees: preparing reports, escalations and decisions.
• Apply project management methodology, terminology, organisation, roles and processes.
