Job summary

NextLink Group in Brussels area, Belgium, is seeking a Senior Project Leader to drive large-scale IT projects. The role is full-time with a 2 days on site / 3 days remote hybrid arrangement, located in the Brussels area.

The candidate will lead cross-functional projects within Life Information Systems, spanning Cobol/.NET and frontend technologies, with emphasis on governance, budget oversight, and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Min. 10 years of professional experience.
• Several projects with more than 1000 mandays.
• Experience with waterfall methodology; Agile/Scrum is a plus.
• Senior autonomous Project Leader capable of end-to-end ownership and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple IT projects end-to-end (scope, budget, roadmap, governance, risks).
• Interact confidently with senior business and IT stakeholders.
• Discuss and justify at least 2 significant IT projects led, with outcomes.

NextLink is having an existing position as a Senior Project Leader in Brussels area, Belgium.

General information:

- Workload: full time (2 days on site 3 days remote)

- Work location: Brussels area, Belgium

Description:The candidate will work within the Life Information Systems division. This group is responsible for all Life product related developments of underwriting applications and claims management systems. The applications are developed based on a Microfocus mainframe emulator in Windows (programming language Cobol/Mix Cobol+.NET), with various technologies used on the frontend (.Net, CRM), printing, Integration and communication side.

As large part of our portfolio for the upcoming years consists of project activities, we need to enforce our project leading capabilities.

In this context the mission of the candidate project leader will be to drive many different projects in many different technologies.

Important:

We are seeking a senior autonomous Project Leader able to take ownership of large-scale strategic ITprojects and interact confidently with senior business and IT stakeholders.

Candidates must demonstrateconcrete experience in leading complex application projects end-to-end (scope, budget, roadmap,governance, risks, steering committees and stakeholder management).

During the interview, candidates will be expected to discuss in detail at least 2 significant IT projects theypersonally led, including governance, stakeholder management, budget oversight, major risks/issuesencountered and delivery outcomes.
