Job summary

BESIX Group is seeking a Senior Cost Controller to strengthen our Finance team for Belgium & Luxembourg. You will oversee cost control and reporting across projects, mainly in Ghent (about 80%) while coordinating with stakeholders from our Brussels headquarters (about 20%).

The role requires a Master’s degree in Finance or related field and at least 5 years of experience in cost control or project controlling. Fluency in Dutch and English is essential, with French a strong asset.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Finance, Economics, Business Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in cost control, project controlling, audit, finance, or similar.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a strong asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the monthly cost control and reporting process for assigned projects.
• Analyse project performance, identify risks and opportunities, and challenge financial assumptions where necessary.
• Review and validate project cost control data in collaboration with Project Managers and operational teams.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial information and reports.
• Provide timely financial insights and performance analyses to project teams.
• Act as a business partner for project teams and ensure all relevant accounting data is communicated.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of cost control processes and reporting tools.
• Prepare and present financial analyses and recommendations to the Cost Control Manager and stakeholders.
