Job summary

Netcompany Belgium is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to design and optimise AI/ML solutions across European projects. You will build NLP models, use LLMs and RAG, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into products and services.

The role requires strong Python expertise, deep learning frameworks, and a focus on scalable architectures. You will contribute to reports and visualisations for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in data science, analytics, or AI/ML engineering.
• Excellent knowledge of English.
• Experience in ML and NLP.
• Proficiency in Python and libraries (Pandas, SpaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face).
• Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch for deep learning.
• Experience with AI-powered code assistants and AI-driven coding tools.
• Strong SQL knowledge (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases and scalable ML architectures.
• Experience with A/B testing and transformer-based models.
• Proficient in data visualization with Matplotlib/Seaborn.
• Strong linguistics and text processing understanding.
• Proficient in CI/CD and unit testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise AI, NLP, and ML models using LLMs and RAG.
• Develop text processing tasks: tokenisation, POS, NER, classification, clustering.
• Fine-tune pre-trained models for domain tasks.
• Stay updated on NLP/ML/AI trends and research.
• Develop robust Python code and scalable ML solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions.
• Run experiments to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Participate in peer reviews and contribute to solution improvements.
• Design ML application architecture and stack.
• Develop reports and visualisations to communicate insights.
