MEERAB GROUP in Brussels seeks an AI Engineer/Developer to build AI-powered applications using LLMs, RAG and agentic workflows. You will design backend services, APIs and integrations, and refine retrieval pipelines with embeddings and vector search.

The role requires 5+ years as a software engineer, 1–2 years with LLMs, strong Python skills, and fluency in English plus French or Dutch. A cloud-native mindset and security focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and French or Dutch (read/write/speak).
• 5+ years as Software Engineer, backend or full-stack.
• 1–2 years integrating LLMs or generative AI services.
• Practical knowledge of RAG, embeddings, vector search and retrieval quality.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience with MCP, A2A, tool calling, or multi-agent workflows.
• Experience designing maintainable services with testing, logging, CI/CD and deployment.
• Understanding AI evaluation, test datasets and quality metrics.
• Cloud-native development awareness and security-minded approach.
• Ability to communicate trade-offs clearly and pragmatically.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement AI-powered applications using LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows.
• Build backend services, APIs, and integrations for AI-centric apps.
• Improve retrieval pipelines with chunking, embeddings, vector search and reranking.
• Work with LLM APIs and orchestration frameworks for reliable workflows.
• Implement evaluation, testing, monitoring and observability.
• Define patterns for tool use, human-in-the-loop and agentic behavior.
• Collaborate with engineers and product/business stakeholders.
• Support model/framework selection based on quality, cost, latency, maintainability and security.
• Troubleshoot hallucinations, retrieval quality issues and high latency.
