bridge351 is seeking an experienced Network Designer/Architect to join a mission-critical Brussels network environment. The role involves acting as a design authority for a large-scale access network, guiding hardware/software lifecycle for Juniper- and Cisco-based hub-and-spoke architecture, ensuring security, resilience, and operational integrity.

Regular on-site presence in Belgium is required. The candidate will collaborate with senior designers and architects, contribute to technical design

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in network infrastructure and architecture.
• Strong hands-on background with Cisco and Juniper technologies.
• Extensive experience designing and supporting complex enterprise network environments.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide senior-level technical guidance.
• Experience in environments where security, resilience, availability, and operational stability are critical.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to the evolution of network architecture and technology solutions through strategic evaluation of new technologies, products, and design improvements.
• Define and review network solutions in collaboration with architects, engineering teams, business stakeholders, customers, management, and technology partners.
• Provide senior-level technical guidance throughout solution design and implementation activities.
• Ensure network designs meet technical, operational resilience, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex network and infrastructure incidents.
• Support operational teams with advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of critical network issues.
• Work closely with technology vendors and cybersecurity teams to identify and remediate network security vulnerabilities.
• Define and coordinate software upgrades, security patches, configuration improvements, and lifecycle initiatives.
• Participate in cross-functional projects as a Network Subject Matter Expert and contribute to technical design reviews.
• Maintain high-quality technical and network design documentation and stay current with networking and cybersecurity developments.
