Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a Senior/Principal Scientist with strong high‑resolution mass spectrometry expertise for structure elucidation of diverse therapeutic modalities, including ADCs and tLNPs. You will join the AMCI group in Analytical Development and lead advanced analytical method development.

You will identify impurities and degradation products, develop innovative tests, and collaborate with internal and external partners to push analytical boundaries while ensuring

Qualifications

• PhD in analytical chemistry or related field with minimum 5 years experience OR Master with 10+ years experience.
• Hands‑on expertise in high‑resolution mass spectrometry essential for structure elucidation of complex modalities.
• Experience with MS of lipid nanoparticles, cyclic peptides, oligonucleotides or ADCs is advantageous.
• Coding / programming experience to assist structure elucidation is a plus.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (ICH/EMA/FDA) and GMP guidelines is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop high‑resolution MS‑based methods for structure elucidation of diverse ACT chemical modalities including ADCs and tLNPs.
• Lead development of a comprehensive analytical toolbox for complex API characterization.
• Apply advanced scientific knowledge to ensure high quality results.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team and learn new analytical techniques.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance (GMP) in the lab.
• Troubleshoot diverse mass spectrometers independently.
• Lead root cause investigations related to MS‑based elucidation in R&D and portfolio.
• Stay abreast of scientific developments to maintain leadership in MS‑based elucidation.
• Initiate partnerships with universities and research institutions to broaden external network.
