Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting a Senior/Principal Scientist based in Beerse, Belgium, to join the AMA team within the Advanced Molecular Analysis group. The role focuses on high-resolution mass spectrometry for structure elucidation of diverse active pharmaceutical ingredients, including peptides and oligonucleotides.

You will develop innovative analytical methods, lead cross-functional projects, and work with external partners to expand capabilities while ensuring

Qualifications

• PhD in analytical chemistry or related field or a Master’s with 6+ years in pharma R&D
• Proven hands-on expertise in high-resolution mass spectrometry for structure elucidation
• Experience with in silico tools to assist structure elucidation is a plus
• Knowledge of regulatory GMP guidelines is beneficial

Responsabilités

• Design and develop HRMS-based methods for structure elucidation of diverse APIs
• Lead databases and spectral libraries to support MS-based elucidation
• Collaborate across teams to ensure high-quality analytical results and root-cause investigations
• Lead partnerships with academia and research institutes to expand external innovation
• Troubleshoot diverse mass spectrometers and ensure regulatory compliance
