Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Sr. Scientist in Bio-conjugation within the CPRD Development Chemistry group in Beerse, Belgium.

You will design, develop, and implement bioconjugation strategies for ADCs and other targeted therapeutics, driving site-selective conjugation technologies and advancing manufacturability. The role requires a PhD or equivalent, expertise in enzyme-based conjugation, and strong analytical skills (LC-MS/HPLC/SEC).

Qualifications

• PhD, postdoctoral, or equivalent in organic chemistry, biochemistry, biology or related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in enzyme-based conjugation technologies and site-specific protein modification.
• Strong understanding of ADC design principles, including antibodies, linkers, payloads, and conjugation strategies.
• Experience with protein characterization and analytical techniques such as LC-MS, HPLC, SEC, peptide mapping.
• Proficient in enzyme screening and engineering for bioconjugation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
