Job summary

Redstone Search Group is seeking a Senior Trader to join a global metals trading firm based in Europe. The role focuses on developing new markets, establishing trade flows, and building durable relationships with steel mills, producers, distributors, and end-users across Africa and Latin America.

You will analyse market dynamics, identify opportunities, and lead commercial initiatives with a view to expanding activity in steel and related non-ferrous metals.

Qualifications

• 7+ years trading experience in the metals industry, steel products focus.
• Knowledge of Africa and/or Latin America market dynamics.
• Strong regional network with customers, suppliers and producers.
• Proven entrepreneurial business development in new markets.
• Willingness to travel internationally; European base preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop new international markets and trade flows across Africa and Latin America.
• Build long-term relationships with steel mills, producers, distributors, and end-users.
• Drive opportunities across steel, aluminium, and non-ferrous metals.
• Analyse market dynamics: demand, pricing, freight, tariffs, trade flows.
• Report to Managing Director.
