Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Geel, Belgium, is seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer Projects to drive asset lifecycle management and integrate maintenance requirements into engineering and capital projects.

The role requires leading maintenance deliverables from concept to commissioning, collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and EHS, and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for new and modified assets.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent with strong foundation in maintenance and asset management.
• ≥5 years in Maintenance/Project Engineering, Asset Management or Reliability in GMP environments.
• Experience with CMMS (SAP PM preferred) and Excel; Power BI a plus.
• Fluent in Dutch and English with strong stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Maintenance & Reliability representative in multidisciplinary projects, integrating maintenance requirements throughout the lifecycle.
• Review designs and specs to ensure maintainability, reliability, spare part strategy, and total cost of ownership.
• Challenge teams to align with GMP requirements and long-term asset strategies.
• Support capital projects from concept through commissioning and handover with proper maintenance deliverables.
• Define maintenance strategies and ensure CMMS readiness for new installations.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, EHS and external contractors for successful delivery.
