Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Belgium is seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer Projects to lead maintenance and reliability within capital projects at the Geel site. You will influence design decisions with a focus on asset lifecycle, spares, and CMMS readiness through the project lifecycle.

You will support concept through commissioning, collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and EHS to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient asset performance. Fluency in Dutch and English is required.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualifications.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Maintenance/Project Engineering or Asset Management.
Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, asset lifecycle, and reliability principles.
Experience supporting engineering or capital projects including design reviews and handover.
Knowledge of RCA, FMEA, RCM, and criticality assessments.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Experience with CMMS platforms (SAP PM preferred) and Excel; Power BI is a plus.
Fluent in Dutch and English, with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Act as the Maintenance & Reliability representative within multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring maintenance requirements and reliability principles are integrated throughout the project lifecycle.
Review engineering designs and project deliverables for maintainability, reliability, spare parts strategy, and TCO considerations.
Challenge project teams to align with maintenance standards and GMP requirements.
Support capital and improvement projects from concept to handover, including maintenance plans and CMMS readiness.
Define and implement maintenance strategies for new and modified assets, including preventive and predictive maintenance.
Coordinate maintenance readiness for new installations and ensure documentation, training, and spare parts are in place before startup.
Identify risks to asset reliability and ensure mitigation actions are implemented.
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, and contractors for successful delivery.
Drive continuous improvement by incorporating lessons learned into future projects and standards.
