3E is seeking a Senior Java ETL Data Engineer to own the end-to-end ETL engine, driving architecture and production readiness for our SynaptiQ platform in Brussels. You will work within a small cross-functional team and collaborate with Product and Ops to deliver reliable, scalable data processing.

The role requires a strong Java background, expertise in concurrency and performance, and hands-on experience with S3-like storage and streaming systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in production-grade Java.
• Deep understanding of Java concurrency, parallelism and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with data-processing pipelines on S3-compatible storage and Linux administration.
• Delivered and operated end-to-end production systems with monitoring and incident response.
• Architectural thinker who favors evidence-based tech choices.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and operate the Java ETL engine handling near real-time data from millions of assets.
• Architect and integrate with S3-compatible storage and streaming infrastructure.
• Balance real-time vs. batch processing based on evidence and trade-offs.
• Lead on quality, reliability, code reviews, testing and SRE practices, including on-call incident handling.
