3E is seeking a Senior Java ETL Data Engineer to own the end-to-end ETL engine that processes near-real-time data from millions of renewable energy assets. You will design, develop and operate the Java-based pipeline, ensuring reliable production deployment and maintainability.

The role requires deep Java concurrency expertise, hands-on experience with S3-compatible storage and streaming tech, and a strong track record of delivering production-grade systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, incl. 3+ years in high-performance Java in production.
• Deep understanding of Java concurrency, parallelism and performance optimisation.
• Hands-on experience with data processing pipelines on S3-compatible object storage, and Linux system administration.
• Delivered and operated production systems end-to-end with code review, testing and monitoring.
• Architectural thinker able to evaluate technologies by evidence and guide team decisions.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and operate the Java ETL engine processing data from millions of devices.
• Architect and integrate the engine with S3-compatible storage and streaming infrastructure.
• Balance real-time vs batch processing and justify trade-offs.
• Lead on quality and reliability through code reviews, testing and SRE practices.
• Decompose pipeline problems into milestones and maintain runbooks and API docs.
