Responsabilités

• Act as the lead analyst for complex IT infrastructure and server service requests spanning multiple domains.
• Clarify real business or technical needs and translate into structured, assessable requirements.
• Challenge assumptions, identify missing information, and document constraints, dependencies, risks, and impacts.
• Engage SMEs across server-related domains to assess possibilities and directions.
• Evaluate alignment with infrastructure standards and highlight unclear areas.
• Prepare clear request files for review, including needs, options, constraints and risks.
• Provide architectural input and decision support with emphasis on analysis over hands-on implementation.

Our client is seeking a senior IT infrastructure analyst to support the early analysis of complex server-related requests and help shape clear, well-founded solution directions before implementation decisions are made. This opportunity involves working across several infrastructure domains, translating incomplete or unclear input into structured requirements, and preparing decision material for the relevant stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead analyst for complex IT infrastructure and server service requests that involve multiple domains or cannot be fully assessed within one team.
• Clarify the real business or technical need behind incoming requests and turn it into structured, assessable requirements.
• Challenge assumptions, identify missing information, and document constraints, dependencies, risks, and potential impacts.
• Engage with subject matter experts across server-related domains to assess technical possibilities and solution directions.
• Evaluate whether requests align with existing infrastructure standards and highlight areas where standards are unclear or incomplete.
• Prepare clear request files for review and approval, including needs, options, constraints, risks, and operational impact.
• Provide architectural input and decision support where needed, with a smaller share of the work focused on infrastructure and server architecture topics.

Technical Skills

• Strong background in IT infrastructure, ideally in complex enterprise environments.
• Broad understanding of server-related domains, such as:

• Experience in requirement gathering, request clarification, fact finding, solution analysis, and decision preparation.
• Ability to compare solution options against standards and constraints and explain trade-offs clearly.
• A technical background that has evolved into analysis, solution shaping, and architectural decision support rather than direct implementation.
• Computer science degree, specialist training in system integration, or equivalent experience.

Profile

• Senior-level experience in IT infrastructure, preferably in environments with 500+ employees.
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to work through complex requests in a structured way.
• Well-developed planning and organizational skills, with the ability to handle strict deadlines and pressure.
• Security-minded approach combined with strong practical judgment.
• Confident presentation skills and the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds.
• Independent, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership of assignments.
• Customer-oriented team player who can quickly learn new products and environments.
• German is a plus.
• Ability to work in a dynamic setting and remain effective beyond standard office hours when needed.

Practical Information

This opportunity is based in Brussels, with a default requirement of two days of onsite presence per week. It is important that non-EU candidates hold both a valid work permit for Belgium and a valid residence permit.
