Responsabilités

• Act as the senior analyst for complex IT Infrastructure resource and service requests spanning multiple server-related infrastructure domains.
• Complement, rather than replace, domain teams by taking ownership of requests requiring cross-domain analysis.
• Identify the underlying need behind incoming requests and translate incomplete input into structured infrastructure requirements.
• Challenge assumptions, clarify information, document constraints, dependencies, risks and operational impacts.
• Collaborate with IT Infrastructure SMEs across Windows, Linux, IAM, Application Management & Deployment, and Database Administration.
• Assess requests against IT standards and identify areas where standards are unclear or undocumented.
• Prepare clear, well‑founded request files for review and approval including requirements, options, risks, costs and impacts.
• Provide architectural input and support decision preparation as needed.
• Contribute to infrastructure and server architecture activities (about 20% of the role) while focusing on requirements analysis and decision preparation.

We are looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Requirements & Solution Analyst to join an ambitious project within the Belgian energy sector.

You will work alongside IT Infrastructure teams and other stakeholders on complex infrastructure requests, contributing to the development of reliable and sustainable IT infrastructure in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Role Overview

The role focuses on the early analysis of complex IT Infrastructure requests covering several server-related infrastructure domains.

You will be responsible for understanding the underlying business and technical needs, gathering the relevant information, clarifying assumptions, identifying missing elements, and assessing possible solution directions before implementation decisions are made.

The scope includes servers and application deployment on servers, including on-premise integration where relevant.

This is not a cloud-only role and does not cover end-user devices or network topics.

The role is particularly relevant when a request involves several infrastructure teams, such as Windows Operations, Linux Operations, IAM, Application Management & Deployment, or Database Administration, or when a request is too complex for a rapid initial analysis.

The position requires a broad and mature understanding of IT Infrastructure, but it is not intended as a hands-on engineering or operational implementation role.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the senior analyst for complex IT Infrastructure resource and service requests spanning multiple server-related infrastructure domains.

• Challenge assumptions, ask relevant questions, identify missing information, and document constraints, dependencies, risks, and potential impacts.
• Collaborate with IT Infrastructure subject matter experts across Windows, Linux, IAM, Application Management & Deployment, and Database Administration.
• Assess whether requests comply with existing IT standards and identify areas where standards are unclear, incomplete, or not yet documented.
• Prepare clear and well-founded request files for review and approval, including requirements, potential options, constraints, risks, costs, and operational impacts.
• Provide architectural input and support decision preparation when required.
• Contribute to infrastructure and server architecture activities, representing approximately 20% of the role, while keeping the main focus on requirements analysis, solution shaping, and decision preparation.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, training as a specialist in system integration, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven senior experience in IT Infrastructure, preferably within complex enterprise environments.
• Broad knowledge of server-related infrastructure domains, including:
  • Windows Server
  • Active Directory / ADFS
  • Databases
  • Storage
  • Application management and deployment
  • RDP solutions
  • Containerized solutions
  • Security principles
  • On-premise / cloud integration
• Ability to understand and challenge technical input from subject matter experts without necessarily being the hands-on expert in every domain.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, request clarification, fact finding, solution analysis, and preparation of decision material.
• Ability to identify and compare solution options against standards, constraints, and operational requirements.
• Strong conceptual and architectural understanding of IT Infrastructure.
• Experience evolving from technical infrastructure activities toward analysis, solution shaping, and decision preparation.
• This is not primarily a hands-on implementation position.

Languages :

• Fluent spoken Dutch and French, with one of the two languages at native level.
