Job summary

Jan De Nul is seeking an experienced HSE Manager for Charleroi region to oversee health, safety and environmental compliance on construction projects. You will act as the main contact for HSE, guiding teams and subcontractors while aligning with client demands and Jan De Nul policies.

You will lead on-site personnel, develop and implement HSE processes, and monitor performance to ensure all safety standards are met. Fluency in English and French is required; Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in environmental management, safety management, construction, mechanics or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience as Prevention Advisor (HSE) in construction.
• Good command of English and French; Dutch is a plus.
• Strong communication, coaching and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Single Point of Contact for HSE towards the client on site.
• Communicate with subcontractors to ensure HSE compliance.
• Ensure client HSE expectations are met and policies are followed.
• Develop and implement HSE policy, process and structure for projects.
• Monitor HSE policy implementation and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate and coach project team members on HSE topics.
• Follow up client HSE audits and ensure proper closure.
• Conduct proactive audits to improve EHS standards.
