Astek Belgium is seeking a Senior Full-Stack AI Developer with a strong background in AI to join a pioneering project in the public sector. You will design and implement high-impact applications that combine frontend, backend, and AI components.

You'll work with React, Node.js, and Python, integrating LLMs and multimodal AI models, while contributing to data pipelines, model fine-tuning, and production-quality code.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of AI application development experience.
• Strong Node.js and React expertise.
• At least 1 year of Python experience.
• Hands-on with LLMs or VLMs such as GPT/Claude/LLaMA.
• Experience integrating AI models via APIs.
• Prompt engineering and model fine-tuning knowledge.
• Experience with multimodal datasets.
• Native or C2-level Dutch and good English.
• Strong software engineering mindset.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain modern Full-Stack applications using React and Node.js.
• Integrate AI/ML models through APIs into existing and new applications.
• Build solutions leveraging LLMs and Vision Language Models (VLMs).
• Work on prompt engineering and model fine-tuning.
• Develop AI solutions combining text, image and video data.
• Design and manage data preprocessing and multimodal data pipelines.
• Contribute to technical architecture, code quality and system reliability.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and AI specialists to bring innovations to production.
• Take ownership of complex technical challenges and share knowledge with others.
